PHILIPPINE AIRLINES WILL SOON FLY TO BATANES FROM CLARK

(SPOT.ph) If there's one Philippine destination that every traveler wants to tick off their bucket list, it's the province of Batanes. The northernmost province is known for its beautiful cliffside, rolling hills, and stone houses, but despite a ton of interest in heading there, flights to Basco are very limited. Well, starting this July, Philippine Airlines is adding a new flight to Batanes, and surprise, surprise, this one's not coming from Manila.

Here's what we know about Philippine Airlines' new Batanes flights: 

Beginning July 2, 2024, the island province of Batanes will be more accessible to travelers from all over Luzon as Philippine Airlines resumes its Clark-Basco flight route. 

Philippine Airlines is currently the only airline flying to Basco, Batanes via Manila daily. However, with the addition of the new flights from Clark, travelers will get an additional four flights departing late in the mornings and early afternoons to and from the island province, respectively. 

Here are the flight schedules for Philippine Airlines' Clark to Basco flights:

  • PR 2688
    • Flies to Basco, Batanes every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday 
    • ETD Clark: 11:00 a.m.
    • ETA Basco: 12:35 p.m.

Here are the flight schedules for Philippine Airlines' Basco to Clark flights:

  • PR 2689
    • Flies to Clark International Airport every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday 
    • ETD Basco: 1:00 p.m.
    • ETA Clark: 2:35 p.m.

You can already book flights to Batanes from Clark and vice-versa for flights starting July 2 onwards.

As of writing, flights to and from Batanes range from around P5,098 to P10,000 one-way.

What to see in Batanes? 

Batanes is a picturesque destination nestled in the northernmost part of the Philippine archipelago. It is home to various stunning geographical formations, such as cliffsides, rock beaches, and rolling hills.

Aside from natural sights, there are also many cultural areas where you can learn about the Ivatan way of life.
